Default Looking at 1st PORSCHE - HELP

Afternoon guys,

New member here although being browsing this site for a while now. Looking to own my first Porsche so being doing months of ‘research’ on sites like this amongst others. Thought I should ask the views of experienced heads on here.

Looking at a used 2019 Panamera GTS at a dealership. I understand it is a corporate demo car. It's got about 4300km on it.

Dealers asking for CAD 163k for it with original MRSP of 172K original price on configurator. Comes with 4 year original manufacturer warranty and 2 years extra CPO. Appears original warranty starts from just December 2019.Being a neophyte, appears to me that 4000km on a car with a warranty that’s only 2 months old sounds high. Am I being paranoid or misreading the warranty start date and mileage.

Here are the options

Base - Panamera GTS
0L - Carmine Red
0N5 - Rear Axle Steering I.c.w. Power Steering Plus
1N3 - Power Steering Plus
1P7 - Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) Including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus)
43X - 20" Panamera Design Wheels Painted In Satin Black
4M1 - Cupholder Covers (front)
8A4 - Surround View Camera System
8JU - Tinted LED-Matrix Headlights In Black Incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus)
8M1 - Rear Wiper
9VL - BOSE® Surround Sound-System
G1G - 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
GK - GTS Interior Package In Carmine Red
KS1 - Head-Up Display
P51 - Premium Package Plus
P55 - Assistance Package
Q1J - Adaptive Sport Seats (18-way) With Memory Package
QE1 - Storage Package
QQ1 - Ambient Lighting

What do you guys think, I have hinted at a 10% off their asking price and waiting for them to get back to me. Is this an ok deal or should I be aiming for a bigger discount or indeed looking at building/buying though the wait is a tad annoying?

Thanks in anticipation.

Assume that is the car at PCNT? If so it is very nice... would be even better as a Sport Turismo but that is just my opinion haha.

In terms of the deal it seems just ok, MSRP is $178k ($179k with delivery) so they are asking roughly 9% off... it is however a used car, previous model year, and with some restraint you could build a new 2020 in the same $163-165k price range. If it was me I'd push them hard on price, say offer $150k and see what they come back with. Worst that can happen is they say no.

If they are set on the $160k-ish price range I'd personally order one new and wait... that car has a bunch of stuff fluffing up the price you don't really need IMO.

I'd take mine in Gentian Blue as a Sport Turismo... hmm.

I have purchased two Porsche Corp cars and one had 2300 and the other 1900km after abut 12 mos???

I would get more detail on this one, and think a new one with a 5% discount would be a much better deal......

Could be a press car with that many kms on the clock in short time.

I believe warranty starts as soon as the car is registered.

Just ask for an explanation on the mileage.

I am noticing a lot of demo'ed vehicles out of Porsche, Audi, and VW.
I would bet, they were put on road to make year end quota's. To me, this asking price is a little high for a year old model, really last years car.
I would want to see at least 20% off, for a 2019. Or I would just get the 2020.
If you are looking at that GTS at Yorkland, that is a corporate store, not a franchise store like Pfaff.
Perhaps they care less about making a "deal"? Go in with knowledge and comparisons.

First Porsche? Go test drive a four year old car with 100,000 kms on it. That will give you a taste of what it will be like in five years. To me these are cars that are driven and they depreciate.
I'm not a $150k car purchaser, that is way beyond my budget.
I'd be looking at this .... https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/...201K9&sprx=100

So I see about $25k depreciation a year, or 2100/mth.
A quick and hasty search shows a 2020 GTS lease, with zero down is $2800/mth with zero down plus tax, from the porsche canada website.

This is the time of year that that Porsche Canada corp vehicles come to market.
Have bought two of them, from London, incidentally....
Usually well priced, but if a good color and model, discounts are not as much.
Bought a CPO Cayenne from North Toronto last July, it was very well priced so only a small further discount available.
Pfaff is moving to better pricing on their listings, (bought a GT3 there in Dec) not much discount after that...
Never regretted paying more for the car I wanted!!
