Interesting how nobody talks about pollution from business, airplanes, ships, trucks or other means of conveyance. Automobile is an easy target.

I'm not sure how they plan to put this in place. The charging network in the UK or really anywhere won't be able to handle the demand.

 

Agree the network will probably still be challenged in areas. But it's a ban on new car sales, plenty of used cars to go around Im sure.

 

I am still not convinced that the world can go full electric for ALL new cars in 15 years.

Unless battery technology changes dramatically do we have ready access to all the raw materials necessary to produce all those batteries.

And as already mentioned the power grid and supply of clean energy to power it.

At least here in Canada we have a fighting chance of getting the clean energy by using hydro electric power but as we witnessed with the new Peace River hydro project it is unlikely the "greenies" will let too many of those proceed so what are we left with?

Plus they plan to ban hybrids too??????

Well I always said I was born in the wrong decade and I am glad that there will not be too many years after 2035 that I will still be able to drive.

Guess they can bury me in my 964 cause no one will be allowed to drive it.
