2008 987 Boxster Special Edition Hard to price
Hello,
I'm hoping this community can help with ball park value for a 2008 Boxster Special Edition car.
I have an opportunity to buy a 2008 Boxster (not the Boxster S) from a family member, and am having a hard time determining value.
The car has 55,000 KM, body condition is mint, no accidents, original everything (with the exception of tires, battery, and service items), always stored indoors, no winter driving.
There is no blue book value for this specific model release - it's captured under the base 2.7L Boxster as far as insurance and the MTO (DMV) are concerned, however it is valued higher from the eyes of a dealership.
Being that the car is the limited edition ~120/250 in great condition, low mileage, and mechanically sound, I am interested in purchasing the car privately rather than letting it be sold off to the public.
Upgraded features, Bose sound, rear plexi glass wind baffle (not sure if standard equip for this model).
I'm seeing Canadian 987 Boxsters being sold for around $27-40,000 so I assume the Special Edition will land the pricing in the upper band of that range.
I have some photos of the car, but they won't show much more than what the typical google image search responses are for the SE 987 - as mentioned, the car is stock, and in near mint condition.
