We had the pleasure to work on this brand-new 991.2 GT3 in stunning Miami Blue. This car arrived by enclosed transport (contact us if interested in transport), and we performed our Ultimate New Car prep:
Full car paint correction
Full car XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film
Ceramic Pro ceramic coating
Why does a brand new car need paint correction?
It's common for new cars to have paint surface defects from the factory, and/or from the Dealership. This car was naturally in excellent condition - without any stone chips or signs of driving damage, BUT because we were about to lock-in the paint condition with PPF and ceramic coating it made sense to ensure there were no visible defects that could be seen through the film. Every panel had some amount of scuffing and surface scratching from the factory and the dealer prep. The rear spoiler/lid area had pig-tails from polishing at the factory, and the other panels showed mostly "love marks" - probably from washing, drying and wipe-down processes at the dealership. And to be fair, we found this Miami Blue paint was extremely prone to marring unless using the most cautious methods possible.
Once the paint was fully polished out, the process of applying XPEL paint protection film over the entire car began. With this completely custom film installation - all possible seams and edges were hidden and wrapped around edges to make the presence of the PPF as imperceptible as possible.
Then to provide an extremely slick and long lasting hydrophobic surface on the film, we applied Ceramic Pro's "PPF" ceramic coating which has been specifically optimized for use on film.
And finally, the owner wanted the 991 rear badging to be removed and replaced with just the "GT3" emblem from the 997-gen. A subtle, but clean detail on the rear.
As always - if you have any questions or comments or would like to book a consultation or appointment, please reach out!
