buying in Quebec then to Ontario
I'm an Ontarian. If I trade my Ontario Porsche for a Porsche that's worth less at a Quebec dealer do I have to pay Ontario taxes/fees? Or do I just got o the MTO in Ontario, register it and that's that? Anything else I need to do?

I just recently did this at Lauzon in Laval. You pay the GST portion at the dealership and the PST portion gets paid at Service Ontario. You get full credit for your trade on both taxes.

thanks. So since my trade is worth more than the new car I shouldn’t have to pay pst then right?

I bought my Macan out of a montreal Porsche dealership.
They charged me ontario HST. They included paperwork, I had to have the car Ontario certified.
Paid for the plate. Paperwork and process was flawless.
