Picking up my CPO 911 Saturday!!!
Hi everyone, sooo I did it, purchased my 2015 911 C2 (12,900km) and will be picking it up Saturday. I’m so happy!
So, I need some advice about the drive back (4 hours). They put on brand new Pirelli PZero’s BUT the temperature in my home town is apparently only going to be a high of 4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. What do I do?
Clearly these tires should not be driven under 5-7 degrees (I found those ranges online). Will I be taking a big risk driving it back? The city I’m leaving is about 8 degrees. I’ll be driving during the daytime, I imagine the tires will warm up as I’m driving the 4 hours? What should I do?
Help from my fellow Canadians would be appreciated!

You will be fine but i would caution that at those temps that i would not be hammering through corners on some back road route home. Stick to the major highway routes and take it easy. I just put on my winters today because i am doing a similar route to you over the next couple of days. Its not over thinking it, its being smart
Congrats on the car!

Damn, that’s an awful Sunday forecast. 2 degrees... and potentially snow. Wtf. You think I should still make the trip? I think I’ll just drive straight back home after the deal on Saturday, forcast looks pretty good.

If the snow melts when it hits the ground then you will be fine. Just drive like a civilized persons and all will be ok. I've driven cars with summer tires when it was freezing to take them to storage, just take it easy in the turns and that's it.

If you are stuck and need to get it out of PCO, you can put it in my garage in Oakville for a few weeks until the weather clears.
