Default Paralegal/speeding help recommendation (GTA/Lindsay)

Hi Guys,

I got a ticket up in Kawartha Lakes (Lindsay) the other day.

Any recommendations for a paralegal/speeding help company, that you personally used and were satisfied with?

There are a few options but it's hard to choose between them without a personal recommendation. I am also concerned that a lot of the Toronto guys focus mostly on DUI and at least a decade ago (last ticket) they weren't too enthusiastic about out of town jobs.

Thanks in advance!

remember they will consider a " win" a reduction. You need it completely removing or there is no point . speeding is speeding to ins companies, even with no points its still an infraction on your insurance.

No they won’t. That’s not how Forch works. I’ve always had my tickets dismissed.

All paralegals consider a reduction a win but its semantics. Dismissed is good.

Is there a reason you think you can get off on it?
Gone are the days where the judge will dismiss on a little technicality.

well actually it can .... if the ticket was reduced for you at the time , the court can , if it decides, to re-enstate the original speed ...

Yrah i just got a ticket in the summer. Drastically reduced to 10 over and a 50 dollar ticket. Decided the smart move was to just pay it and keep my nose clean

Only problem with that is that a 10 over is no different than a 30 or 40 over with most insurance companies. My new policy from RBC states that minor speeding tickets are up 0-44 over, quite a large range for what they consider a minor ticket. And once you get a second it’s rate hike time.

For this reason alone I would fight. Unless the cop nocked a 45+ over down. In that case I would pay and be happy.

If the speed was reduced "at roadside" ie the officer already marked it down before handing it to you, most JPs won't reduce it further.

Not the JP usually the crown. If you ask the JP they'll ask you why you think you are so special and tell you to bend over.

Seems like he moved to Charged Legal Services - https://chargedlegalservices.ca/contact/

Still recommended? Any other recommendations? I got a ticket on the way out of North Bay OPP (115 in 100 zone - no points - was doing 127 on cruise control, and warning for tinted plate covers).

I was hoping to get the ticket dismissed; I want to keep my record clear. I don't want to be a "high risk" for insurance if I get another ticket within 3 years :/
