I've used Hansen once. It was shipped by train. The car arrived dirty on the outside, but on time and very reasonable cost. I'm ok with my cars getting dirty.

Recently shipped Uship and it went very well. Got picked up exactly on time, dropped off exactly on time, took spares and stuff without problem. Maybe I got lucky.

I did Hansen from BC to Toronto and vice versa a few times. No issues, just the car gets really dirty. Tires can't be shipped in the car, went with Greyhound for best value.

That's interesting!

Despite them telling me that I'm not allowed to ship the tires/wheels, the rep told me that I had to make sure the wheels wouldn't slide around during transport. Luckily, I was able to fold down the seats of my car and lay all the wheels flat down with just the right amount of wiggle room to not cause any issues. When they picked up the car, nobody made a fuss out of it. Car arrived in Toronto for me unscathed, just very dirty.

That is good to hear. The risk with spares is they can easily go missing.

I used Hansen's twice from Victoria to Quebec and then Victoria to Toronto. Pickup by flat deck and delivered to the train yard in Vancouver then off to the final destination. No issues either shipment.

A local car thief may be able to provide some good references for transport to BC (and beyond).
