Default Need some input on Canadian pricing on my 997.2

Hi fellow Canadians,

So i need a little input on pricing my 997.2 to sell maybe. I'm looking at buying a 2015 Carrera GTS that a local Porsche dealer has. I don't really want to trade in my car, as I'm sure there numbers and mine will be way off..... Any help Would be great. I would like some input on what a guy would price his car in Canada to sell. I cant seem to find mucht to compare it to. Any feed back would be great. THANK YOU in advance.

Paint is 10/10 had a clear braw on for most of its life but now off.

Just go on AutoTrader.ca and see what the range of comparables are asking. Also run it through Canadian BlackBook and you'll get a sense of what a dealer might offer.

My guess would be $65-75k private sale, assuming it is a 6speed manual, and clean history.

Having actually just purchased a 2011 C4S 6 speed in basalt black with about 50k kms on it I have been paying attention to prices. I think, again, assuming a manual transmission and all in great shape, your car is 80ish on a private sale.

Based on the window sticker posted, the vehicle is in fact, a 6-speed manual transmission.

There seems to be quite a difference in opinion on the market value; the gap between $65 - 75K to $80'ish is quite large.

Just looking at the build sheet and noticed the rear tire size is 295/30/19 from the factory. That is weird. Standard size 19" rear tire for the 997 widebody cars is 305/30/19 (except the GT2 RS and GT3 RS which run 325/30/19. ) Wonder why they fitted a smaller tire on yours. Any idea?

Thank you all for your input. I did some more research and found the identical car in the US with higher miles, listed at $76,000 us dollars. There was a white 2011 C4S here in BC back in January that sold for $86,000 with 48,000km. These last year models seem to be starting to increase in price...If you can find them.

Not sure why they spec that size of tire. when i purchased it the car came with brand new Michelin Super Sports 305/30/19.

Was your car CPO? Did you get bent over by the dealer?

I didn't say that's what I paid. I was suggesting that based on what I was seeing selling in the recent market having just been looking. But since you asked, yes my car is CPO and I am VERY happy with an amazing deal I got and amazing service from Pfaff Porsche, they always treat me incredibly well and I'm always happy dealing with them.

There are just not that many 997.2 manual transmission cars in great shape around for sale in Canada. They are becoming more and more in demand as many people, myself included, actually prefer them to the 991. The market demands what it demands. I am sure the OP will have no trouble selling his car.

My car was a CPO when i bought it last year. It is a 6 speed manual. Absolutely love my car as it is the last generation before the switch. But always wanted a GTS... But they are whey more money.. Im also happy just keeping it for the nice Sunday morning coffee cruise.

Ask $84-85 and you’ll have no problem getting close to that. Nice 997s are are fetching good money. Even low km C2S ‘09s go for low $70s. GLWS.

So why are you asking what it is worth if you love it and are happy keeping it and don't want to spend more for GTS?

I hated the PDK gear changing buttons on the steering wheel, but put paddle shifters on the car and it will radically transform it into something really fun to drive on a track or just on the public roads. Plus as someone who now thinks they might be in the market for a 997.2 3.8L (or at the very least a 997.2 3.6L) I like that the OP's car has a manual transmission. Unfortunately I am not interested in the all wheel drive of the C4S. I don't drive 911s in winter (I am too paranoid of getting rear ended) and thus prefer rear wheel drive vehicles. In fact the conditions have to be really really really bad for me to put my daily driver a modified 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon into 4-wheel drive. Most of the time even on average snow and icy winter days, I motor along in rear wheel drive with the Jeep. So yeah all wheel drive is just not my thing.

I am still not sure about the PDK, but the rest of the 997.2 3.8L car I looked at today was nice and has me rather intrigued and based on the car in Edmonton I looked at the OP is likely looking at market prices somewhere between $75k to $80k CDN ... maybe even a little higher depending on the demand for the all wheel drive or the manual transmission.

I agree on the PDK.. I have always had manual sports cars. The GTS i was looking at is a PDK. After the test drive i have decided to not go ahead with the GTS. it's a personal preference, just prefer a manual. So for now i will keep the C4S and enjoys the summer days banging gears.
