Castrol React SRF Brake Fluid in Canada
Hello RL,
I was having a hard time locating Castrol React SRF brake fluid in Canada, easy to find in the USA but cross border shipping is a pain.
1. Does anyone know of a Canadian supplier that will sell it by the liter?
2. I do have a supplier that will sell it to me by the case @ approx. $90/L, I don't really want to spend $1000+ on a 5 year supply of SRF, if there are any Canadian members that would like to order a liter or two let me know and I'll just order a case and sell the surplus liters off.
Cheers,
Jason

Ah, I just bought some from the US. Found a couple Canadian sources, but they couldn't quite match the price on Amazon.com through the shipping forwarder I use.

Bicknell Racing in St Catharines stocks it by the large bottle. Saw it today.

It can be found slightly cheaper than that, but yeah, it's expensive. However, because the wet boiling point is so high, you can go much longer between flushes, even if you're tracking the car. So ultimately it can actually be cheaper, especially if you take the time taken to do the bleeding into account. (And of course it's also better than most other fluids in terms of peak temperature and compressibility.)

Received a number of litres in the mail this evening from Pags993 - If any future RL users are looking for SRF in Canada I would suggest you reach out to him first!
Thanks Pags!!!

It's pricey, but I know a number of people doing DEs and track days (not racing) who flush it at the start of the season and they're good to go 'til the end.
Me, I don't use the brakes (much) so Motul 600 is fine

I put it in my S2000 track car at the end of last season. I bleed a bit out of each caliper after each track day - just enough to check it and get any bubbles that have accumulated. After about six track days so far, I haven't seen any difference in colour, nor felt any difference in brake feel.

I'm too late to the game, but Frank @ Driver's Edge in Vancouver on Boundary Road carries them in 1L bottles for $99.95. Catch him on a good day and he may sell for cheaper.

Edit: Let me put my dunce cap on. I just realized how old this thread is.
