Drove to London and back yesterday, and was thinking of taking the Porsche, but decided against it. I was lucky. There was so much grit on the highway that it sounded like we were driving through a hail storm...
Nice! I also drove to London yesterday. Had a few worrisome moments on the way back with blowing snow but never enough to wet the roads.
Heavy Snowfall Warning from Environment Canada for a good chunk of Alberta...10-20cm by tomorrow afternoon . Although that's still probably better than what you folks in ON have been going through this weekend...I hope everyone there is safe!
Started my Arizona trip at 3am Sunday morning and drive to Niagara to pick up my co driver Phil.
First 400 km was brutal and dangerous. Rained all the way to St. Louis. 1400 km of rain. Summer tires in the Cayenne. Sports cars will wait a little !
Made it through to Sunday night around 1130pm. with no blackouts. Blackouts from 11:30pm Sunday night to about 230am Monday morning.... 20 minutes of no power, followed by beeping and power on for 2 minutes, rinse and repeat.
On Saturday, I did scrounge up some change and bought 20L of premium and stabilized it. Rolled out the generator on Saturday to test with fresh gas. Started 2nd pull... Shut off power at the breaker and connected genset to house for a short test. Connection seemed to be working fine, although I need to balance load better... Left generator and cord out and assessable....
This week for sure.
Filled the frunk with firewood for some Carrera camping.
Settled in for a couple days.
The morning showers bracing to say the least.
Our ski hill has 1233 cm's of snow and it's 20C here today.
High water's a coming.
Went for a Sunday drive.
