If you don't look back at your parked car, you bought the wrong car.
The right RS4, will ruin your neck.

Absolutely amazing cars. I bought a phantom black 2008 6 years ago. Spent a bunch of money making the car perfect (carbon clean, injectors, new oem brakes, KW V3's, millteck exhaust etc). Loved the car to bits but ended up selling it to a friend of mine to offset the cost on doing a topend rebuild on my 993. Bought a new golf R thinking it would fill the void. Wrong. The golf R is a great car however not in the same league as the RS4. Long story short, continued to look for another clean RS4. Ended up finding a one owner, avus silver 2008. Bought new by the original owner in edmonton. Never winter driven. 100% stock. 83,000 km's on it when I got it in November. Now has 89K on it as its my daily. Honestly wont make the mistake of selling it again. Its the last of the last as far as an analog, high reving V8, 6 speed manual euro beast goes!!!

Always had a soft spot for the RS4 and now I'm very interested in the newly announced RS5 sportback, though there are a few things holding me back from putting a deposit
1) The transmission - same engine in a Porsche uses PDK while Audi uses a torque converter
2) The options - each package is 5k but only has one thing I really want
3) The colours - they suck. hope they add some with the sportback

Thank you sir! Yes its the 4.2L V8. RS4's are not plagued with the timing chain issues that the regular 4.2 in the S4's have though!

Good to see you got another RS4 Derek. I can attest to how nice his old one is, I looked at buying it and driving it is what convinced me that I indeed needed one. Gotta say that I'm pretty happy with my current setup.

Really miss mine. Although I don't mind some of the newer RS cars, none have the crazy rear fender flares of the RS4.

I'm good thanks! Picked up the 911 last May, absolutely love it and I'm dying to get out and drive it right now. It's a '79 wide body conversion that I brought up from Miami. Once the weather gets better we'll have to get together for a drive!

Leasing a new A5/S5 Sportback is probably the more practical solution for me (warranty, rent & return, etc) but I have a dream to collect a few cars I’ve always loved. RS4 is on that list and if I get a low KM one, I can daily it a year or two before retiring it and leasing a new vehicle.

Saw this. Too busy with work/life to chase one in CA. Ideally GTA but would consider elsewhere in Canada if it was a great car.
