Default Almost Time

That weather on Sunday made me want to take the car out of storage. To wait for April and perchance to miss some great driving days?

I took my car out yesterday. Was really nice but you REALLY have to watch for pot holes.

Took it out today because why not. The roads definitely do seem to be in worse condition this year than usual! But man, what a glorious half hour or so.

I had mine all wrapped also! Hey a friend of mine was talking about yours. Did you get it wrapped at Getty’s? I don’t him I just heard about yours. Mark Motors did mine.

Was going to take the Turbo out on Saturday and Sunday but realized Friday night I had not put the road insurance back on it. So I swapped wheels, detailed the car and installed my 997.2 GT3 shifter assembly. Called my insurance company first thing this AM and enjoyed some nice sunny weather this afternoon.

Yes, I had it done at Getty's. He's been helping me for a couple years now with my prior 991S's and now with my GT3. Wraps, brakes, alignment, roll bar, tires, etc. He installed my BBi roll bar and harnesses. He is great to work with and I highly recommend him for any work you need. He works on all kinds of high end cars. This fall he did the wrap on a new Ford GT, beautiful car. Next up for me is an alignment at Getty and install some new brake pads. I'll run the stock rotors for now but planning some AP Racing J hook rotors. Need to get it ready for a trip to VIR over Easter to get some track time.

I have my own shop in Richmond but I'm curious as to why your changing the pads so soon. Are you putting AP Racing pads? If you don't mind I'd like to pick your brain on this stuff.

Must be nice to have your own shop. I'm out in Orleans...and not that mechanically inclined. I'm installing PFC 11's for now, which I bought at Petty Auto in Laval. I need to change the pads for the track. The OEM pads will melt in less than one track day. My friends with 991.1 GT3's are using Ferodo DS1.11 and love them with AP Racing rotors. I will be buying them next time from Apex Performance in the US. While there are some choices they are fairly limited at this time.

Well right after you stated what you're doing I started with my research and sure enough the combo you've just stated is what the majority is saying. I'm looking forward to taking mine on the track. I opted for manual versus PDK.
