991.2 Allocation and Resale
hey guys,
I've been hoping for GT3 allocation for a while and I figure there is no way I am getting one at this point. I figure they are not really handing more of these cars out.
What do you think a good resale price is to get a practically new manual car? I see one for 269k, but that seems high.
Thanks!

Some of the questions that people ask on this forum...
What do you want a bunch of strangers to say? That $269k is reasonable for a “flipped” GT3. If we say yes, you’ll buy it? If you want one that badly, pay what people are asking.

Just looking for others opinion which is the point of these forums. Why are you so angry? Instead of being a dick, why not ignore the thread?

Legitimate question. For the next while flippers will be looking to get significant premiums over what they paid, but the prices will come back down to earth within a year to 18 months. There is a finite number of folks who missed allocations who will pay over-the-top prices. If you can wait, and don't mind a car with a couple of thousand km on it, you should be able to pick one up for delivered price plus a few grand extra. With the new ones out, prices on the 991.1s should soften as well, which means folks who don't mind or prefer a PDK will be able to scratch the GT3 itch at a "reasonable" price, which will impact the demand for overpriced resale 991.2s.

i def don't think it's reasonable. something to keep in mind, can you even sell your car? I would imagine you have a contract with your AD that states you can't sell it.

^ that was kinda my point. 269k is insane. if people get those kinds of prices, the flippers will flood the market. oh and I have no contract with the AD that says i can't sell it. and all this talk about blacklists etc is bs - if you buy enough cars, dealers will turn a blind eye.

There is a lot of speculation over the 992.1 GT3. People think it will be FI and therefore push the prices of the current car. If the "next one" turns out to be NA the prices will definitely fall.

That price of $269k is crazy and looking for the one person who has to have it now and is not concerned with price. I personally would maybe pay a bit over (10 or 15k) to get a car now if I really liked the spec. but you could buy a GT3RS for $250k. With the 991.2RS coming out very soon, there will be even more RS's and GT3's on the market in the spring and summer. I think a 991.1 GT3's will be at msrp soon as they are under in the US now. So much of it depends on your disposable income/net worth and time/value of money.
I also keep hearing that some more cars with be released for Canada because I don't believe PCL released the full year's production like they did in the US. On the other hand dealers are becoming less concerned with msrp sales on GT cars every time they have to discount a Macan or Cayenne.

so based on this thread is it fair assume the 991.2 went for about 200K when new ? no idea what these cars are worth. Of course more if well optioned .
