OT: Ticket Prices
Went to buy a pair of tickets for a show with 2 of my favourite bands - the June 1 Journey/ Def Leppard concert at the (crappy) Roger's Centre. $1,200+ each to be up front. Just can't do it. That's a years tt insurance. Am I getting cheap in my old age?

That's the price of concert tickets these days. When we went to see G&R in 2016 floor seats were $1700 a piece! That's insane. You'd have to be resurrecting people from the dead for me to pay that kind of scratch for anything. But they still sell them all out, so you have to ask, why not charge that?
And yeah, the Dome is abysmal for sound - probably the worst venue I've ever heard.

Those prices are from resale sites. Insiders. Tickets have not yet gone on sale nor have official prices been released.
Wait and see if they'll be on AMEX Front of the Line as well.
And I wouldn't pay anywhere near that kind of money without Steve Perry up front .

Well I certainly don't think these bands are coming back for the love of the Music, mostly because they lived above their means for many years and believed they would be rich forever...

Even the lowest on the totem pole in Journey, replacement singer Arnel Pineda has a net worth of over $15 mil
Elton John certainly doesn't need to do his 300 show Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour with a net worth of almost $500 mil.
I think some of these guys do it just because they like and are addicted to it.

I disagree .Each guy in Def Leppard is worth $22 million and up.

Joe Elliot is worth over $70 million. They keep going because playing live is almost better than sex..................but it doesn't matter because it gets them lots of that too!
