Yes but. It is possible to remove Liability coverage and keep Fire and Theft while the car is off the road. I know that because I did that when i bought the Boxster and had it trailered to storage.

I guess it could be a provider rule, my insurance company said it would no longer do fire and theft.
But it also switched my insurance on my three summer play cars to Hagerty and I'm now paying less for all 3 cars than I was paying for one car.

Does Hagerty also do house insurance? I am currently insured through Intact for house/condo and my vehicle.

Went to see a nice example of a 98 Boxster in Hamilton today. Overall, nice car and drives well. I'm willing to move on it, but would like a PPI for peace of mind. Any recommendations for an independent garage who works on Porsche out that way? Would hate to have to send it to Pfaff or Porsche Oakville. Thanks in advance!

I've never used him but I have heard good things about Zoran at Zorotech. I believe he is located on Fruitland in Stont Creek, you may want to give him a call.

My State Farm agent does Fire and theft for the winter.... I haven't looked at the bill lately, but it's $90-100 for driving months, about $12 for storage months.

No, I also have Intact, my broker was the one who referred me to Hagerty when Intact would no longer do fire and theft.
Hagerty only does classic cars.

Not true. I'm with Intact. Just fire and theft for storage months for the last 13 years.

Well they stopped doing it for me.
Hagerty is still cheaper for 3 cars full coverage than it was for 6/6 months full/F&T on one car. YMMV

I still have a few candidates on my radar before finalizing the decision.

Thanks for the recommendation on Zorotech. Will reach out to them for a quick chat. Thanks!

I had an 01 Boxster S tip that I bought in California back when our dollar was at par. Sold it last year and bought an 04 S 6 speed. The newer model has some nice creature comforts like a glove compartment and a heated glass window. More electronic readouts on the dash and the Bose and litronics options. I would recommend the 03 or 04 model for these reasons.

To be honest, I did think about this. Given the lack of the 03 and 04s on the market, their asking prices can climb quite high!

Yes, but this is prime season for selling this desirable sports car. I’m sur that off season the prices are more reasonable. I bought mine in February for a very reasonable price. Mind you, since I’m a track junkie, the accoutrements post-purchase pretty well doubled the price!
