Thanks everybody!

Took it out last night for a Tims hot chocolate run and to Canadian Tire for more Christmas lights. ‘Twas the night for putting them up.

Love that I feel more comfortable taking it to these random places. I’ll get way more regular use out of it than the 997. I’ve never taken my 997 to Canadian Tire though recently took it to Walmart out of desperation to drive it.

Hoping to take the 997 out on Monday to compare a little bit. Shifter feel is awesome on the GT350, want to compare to the Numeric. Clutch is light, maybe stiffer would be better.

You are, apparently, the only person in Canada doing so this year.

Lots of lights up in our area already.

Spent about $490 at CTC. Don’t think it does much for you location wise. I will say when I ordered online I was surprised to see the inventory quantities, high. First year for lights for us as our daughter is now 2. Otherwise it was a couple wreaths on the doors.

Looking at the original thread title - don't have one, but have an opinion.

Righteous!

Congrats

Roll up door controls. I was surprised they were pneumatic.

2) That sound! Even below 4000rpm. Looking forward to passing break-in.
3) I'm getting the feeling it's going to be awesome come the spring.
4) Winter sucks.
5) Looking forward to Track Attack at Ford Performance Racing School

Pics or it didn't happen....it happened and here are the phone pics at the dealer.

Congratulations, use it in good health!

Completely stock including exhaust. I've had lots of people comment on how good it sounds though, and I've absolutely loved it!! It seems like a stupid thing to say... but I HOPE the GT3 sounds as good!

Lap times are relative. I ran 1:37's without really going for a complete fast lap. I imagine I had a 1:36 or maybe even a 1:35 in me, but now we'll never know.

As I mentioned above - gorgeous.

Out of curiosity, do you know the details that differentiate this to an 'R' version? From what I saw at a quick glance, carbon wheels, sport cup tires, a bit more power - nothing that really excites me, other than perhaps the ability to delete options.

Looks like you have a 'perfect' example, especially considering the price.

Enjoy!

Best,

Matt

thanks! I'm thrilled with it. Took it out for a couple hours on Tuesday with the great weather, opened it up a bit more. Still only at 230km.

R has - larger front splitter, larger rear wing, no rear seats, further tuned magneride suspension, no radio unless optioned, different badging, carbon wheels, wider tires, cup 2s, msrp price tag. Those are the major things if not all. Same engine.

2017s closed the gap a bunch with the R though at higher price by including track pack. Mine has the optional Electronics package and optional stripes and roof. Also saved roughly 10% off MSRP. Made sense for me with that savings and that it will be plenty on track for me and for evening/weekend drives. For those more capable on track maybe the R would be worth it for weight savings and increased aero.
