Default WHOA..no more Euro delivery.....

Apparently a change in the law somewhere has cancelled all Euro delivery programs.

All cancelled on websites too and even people already scheduled for pickup are not getting their cars. It affects all the manufacturers.

This is a tragedy. I hope the manufacturers can figure out an answer.

From what I've read it's due to factory closure combined with certain emissions certification issues regarding NA spec cars..

apparently its a Temporary Ban due to New VAT Laws

and Porsche is giving you a "Similar Car" you ordered to drive in Europe
so its kind of good since you don't put wear and tear on your actual car

Agreed...one of the draws of ED, using your own car. Otherwise it’s rare that one would ship their car over there for a trip and back along with whatever paperwork is required for that. So great opportunity. But then the benefits of borrowing a car are worth considering, especially if you can snag the same car.

Disappointing as I was hoping to do ED if permitted and of course if I get an allocation. Hope it gets resolved quickly.

Like you know the wear and tear you will put on it driving it here? Who cares about a few thousand extra KMs. To me it kills the entire experience of driving your own car in Europe then dropping it off for shipping across the pond. At that point might as well just go rent a car at Sixt and bypass Porsche. VAG killed European delivery for Canada ages ago and again found this out when I ordered a new GTI, Hell my buddy got a new R8 and short of begging was told repeatedly he couldn't do a Euro delivery on his car.

BMW seems to still be delivering cars http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1428540&page=3
