Don't worry Onami...I've had my fair share of 'I will wire you funds' conversations as well. PM me if you want to talk!

Thanks Overdraft! I try not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I broke my own rule this time. Nice guy who just has some things work through I guess. I hadn’t planned to go this low, but we chatted for an hour and I thought it was going to a good home...

I just don't get how guys can get all the way to the day before buying a 100K car then saying " family priorities"

Just makes no sense to me , you think family priorities would have been thought of long before even responding to the add.

I guess if his wife told him she was pregnant... or wanted a divorce the night before I could understand .

I can't say I was happy either...I had rearranged my schedule so I would be off the following afternoon to take it to Mantis, had the car cleaned with all of the paperwork ready...and had a deal pending on another car that I can no longer pursue. I nearly committed to the car because I thought my car was sold...thank goodness I had the sense to tell the seller that I couldn't commit until the money was in the bank. And of course, I never asked for a deposit. Lesson learned...

Holy **** I cannot believe this , Mark. I understand exactly how you feel as I’ve been in this same situation as a seller before. The driving season is almost over. I’d store this absolutely perfect example until Spring, and try again. You will get your price- be patient.

Cars of this caliber are purely emotional purchases. I've been on both ends...the one being bailed on and the bailer!

Keep your chin up Mark as you've got a lovely 993. Spring will bring a buyer for sure.

When selling high end cars I usually ask them if the money is in the bank and if there wife has given permission. If either answer is no 99% they will bail. Lots of guys dream to own Porsches lots of them never will.
