FYI, I got a reasonable quote from Tires23 (most convenient location of the recommendations for me).

Thanks everyone for the guidance.

Very happy with tires23 as well. Simply Tire seems incredibly understaffed (wrt to answering phones / questions) however they do seem to have the best Michelin prices in the GTA.

I don't believe so. They are in the middle group in pricing.

I priced Simply with others and CEO Tires (Scarborough) came out cheaper by $115 for a set of 4 Michelin PS a few months back.

Although price is important, be careful which tire monkeys you let go at your rims.

true. In my case, i was watching the monkeys from start to finish and they were gentle with my wheels.

Tires 23 has never failed me, and they do a good job balancing and always give me a full road force report. My last set from Simply Tire came back with 32lbs of road force in my right rear wheel and the car vibrated like a ****.

Anyone can sell tires and the prices are all pretty close in the GTA. For me the difference is all in the balancing and service. Even when dealing with road force you can get a good or bad result depending on how much time and effort the tech puts in. The service at tires23 has always been top notch, we had serious issues with our Odyssey vibrating and eventually confirmed it was the steel wheels not being hubcentric, tires 23 went above and beyond switching wheels and eventually sourcing a set of BMW wheels fitted with an additional centering ring to get all good.

-1 to Simply tire. They stripped my titanium nuts by taking them off with a gun. Refused to apologize or offer recourse.

We actually are not under staffed. Our issue is that the phones never stop ringing, and there is just no physical way to answer them all. 100-135 cars we book in, are mostly by email, and the calls we actually do get to. No other shop answers emails like we do, within 5mins, and even at midnight. We pride ourselves on our 1hr or less appointment times, our more than fair pricing, free Roadforce balancing, and the fact that we never damage wheels.

One member commented that our shop scratched a set of nuts on the first page, and I am contacting him at the moment to figure out what happened considering we open all higher end wheel nuts by hand.

I hate it when your nuts get scratched by someone else.

Well , I suppose if you if your going to be scratching nuts , the better way would be by hand rather that a mechanically automated device.

Now that's a statement that I can vouch for. They are much better with emails than phone calls....and I have been experiencing this level of respond over email for the past 5 years

Tires 23 is in Markham and Mississauga. How is the workmanship and price in the Markham location?

Stripped titanium nuts?! Because they used a gun?

Scratched titanium colour perhaps? How can you strip a true titanium alloy nut? The non-titanium thread would strip first...

Am I missing something?
