Default Introduction and advice needed

Hi,

I just want to take the opportunity to introduce myself. I've been a big Porsche fan ever since I was a kid. I've previously owned a Cayenne S and a 981 Boxster. Both were fantastic cars that I thoroughly enjoyed. But deep down, I've always longed for the 911 experience. Early this year, I finally took the plunge and bought the car of my dreams. This time around, I opted to go the CPO route rather than ordering new. I've found a 2013 C4 stripper, and I couldn't be happier. It's equipped with pdk, sport chronos, sport steering wheel, sport design front bumper, black PDLS and a few other minor options. I've added a few personal touches by painting the 19" rims gloss black, added side Porsche decals, 3M clear wrapped the entire front end, and installed the fabspeed supersport exhaust with black tips. The supersport exhaust turned out to be way too loud for my taste. I was a bit embarrassed to drive to work in it, so I quickly reinstalled the stock side mufflers with the gundo hack, and used the supersport as a center exhaust bypass only. Now I think it sounds perfect.

I've had the 991 for about 8 months, and it never ceases to put a huge grin on my face every time I get in it. It definitely feels larger than the 981, but what it loses out in nimbleness, it gains in stability and sure-footedness. What I do miss from my Boxster is the 6 sp manual. But overall, I am very happy with the switch. To my eyes, the 991 has near perfect proportions and a timeless iconic design that's very hard to beat.

Below are a few pictures of my car with winter and summer tires setup.

Thank you for reading this far, now I have a couple questions for you. Today, my driver side door got dinged at a parking lot. It left some minor scratches that I can likely buff out, but it also left a dent that's truly an eye sore in a black car. Does anyone have any experience with paintless dent removal? And any good recommendations in the Toronto area? Many thanks in advance.

Cheers,
NA991

Look at those massive wide ***. No wonder people are doing 21's to fill that gap!
What do you mean by supersport exhaust? Is that an aftermarket setup?

Nice car

Your 918 reps are square setup correct? The rear looks narrow...

Summer setup looks like proper fitment but in dire need of tire shine esp black on black!

Do you have weathertech's in there for winter?
Love the stripper package.
Or as I like to refer as, peasant package.
Manual, and rear wiper, will be my next whip.

Yes it's after market. The fabspeed supersport exhaust basically bypasses all 3 stock mufflers, that's why it's super loud. Definitely not for the faint of heart (myself included).

The winter are 20". Fronts are 235 and rear are 295s. And you are absolutely correct in pointing out the tire shine. I took that picture yesterday right after a quick automatic car wash. I just wanted to clean off the car to see the extent of the dent.

I just have the regular Porsche rubber mats. Seems to do the job, granted we didn't have a lot of snow last winter.

Yes, mine is certainly a peasant package.

Tire shine?!?! Nothing against a clean car, but... I dunno... never understood why people use that.

Oh well, whatever makes you happy.

Yeah its this weird thing to clean your tires. Crazy huh? Cause nothing looks better than a shiny black car and wheels with a nice dirt contrast on the tires.

Some people, I tell ye.....

For paintless dent repair go see Thilan at Dent Xpress. Dude is a magician! http://www.dent-xpress.com/location.html
He fixed a ding on the tailgate of my Cayenne right at the crease, and its not noticeable at all now.

Thanks! I will look him up. Any idea what's the ball park figure for a dent repair?

Not sure how big your ding was, but mine was pretty bad, and cost $200 to remove.
