Default Tyres that are quiet on NZ coarse chip roads

Hi

I,ve got a 997 C4 and I love the car but I am struggling with the level of road roar on our terrible coarse chip roads. The car is running Pirelli Pzero and they have plenty of tread on them they're fine on Tarmac.

Is there an N rated tyre that is better suited to our roads

Cheers

You need to update the exhaust system! Only cure for NZ chip.

I've gone from Bridgestone RE050A to Michelin Pilot Super Sports and they're much quieter. 050A's were getting worn so would have been louder regardless, but the MPSS are much better (I found it pretty hard on my ears previously; felt like I'd been at a gig all night after a long trip!).

Think it is something you just have to live with to a certain degree. Exhaust upgrade isn't a bad idea...

Might be worth posting in the long NZ thread in this forum, the other NZ owners will have a wider breadth and depth of knowledge than me as I'm a relatively new owner.
