Well I am in Arizona right now, but plan to move back to the Middle East this year. I have a 928S4 here, I will bring it back with a GT too i think. Maybe I can pick some of my friends's unused 928s in Saudi Arabia too into my little collection (yes i only buy 928s)

Perhaps one day we should arrange a regional 928 meet somewhere like in Dubai or something . I once organized a gathering for 8 local 928's here in Muscat, that was quite nice.

Hey, sorry guys for not posting in a while, it is a good thing i am subscribed to this thread and get e-mail notifications on new posts

A 928 gathering in Dubai? i don't think that would work, many Porsche owners (especially non 911/Boxster/Cayenne/Cayman) have very low profiles......but who knows?

My engine is in pieces, my room is a mess LOL, lots and lots of work to do.

Khaled : Nice to meet you

928 is the only Porsche i would buy... well i do like the 944/968 too. something special in the 80s and early 90s at porsche. today's cars are like soo commercial, nothing special about ownership. Every guy around the corner goes and finances a boxter just like a bmw 3 series

Khaled: I agree, even when you drive the old cars, you feel like you are in a tank ready to crush everyone in you're path although, the newer Porsche's are very smooth and quite....hmmm

Anyways, how is the weather with you guys? it is freaking humid and hot here.....local stations claim 40C, real world it is more of 45+C with humidity at 95%.....talk about hot climate

Phil,
Mirdif is roughly 15-20 mins away from me, depending on traffic. Where are you from, the US? where did you import that beauty from?

I know a few good places that work on Porsche's are reasonable prices, just don't go to the dealer (Al Naboodah), they screw up on a lot of cars (causing engine fires) and charge crazy prices.

im from the uk and the car was imported from there but was originally a german RS.

looks like ill be visiting Alex Renner at House of Cars...defo not going to the OPC. They dont understand the older cars. My wife who worked in the service department at a Porsche dealer in the uk always said that too.

nice to hear that there are some peeps in an around the middle east.

I second that, and IMHO true 911's stopped with the last 993 out of the factory, had a 993 for a couple of months last year, then had 996 turbo, first impression was, Where are the Dials ok the turbo kick is amazing but still it did not feel like a porsche, "i know i will get lots of frowns" .

I tend to agree as well.....some of the latest generation cars like the GT3 RS etc are still pretty special though....

Well Just stumbled in here... I am a new Porsche owner myself, just bought an 89, 944, already met hosrom in the 944 forum though.

Currently living off Sheikh Zayed Road at the 1st interchange, due to move somewhere (who knows where yet, depends on this crazy housing market) in October.

I have been here a year and plan to be a while longer at least, and am originally from the States.

Here is mine, so if you see me wave...
