Nelson Ledges is Repaved
They did half the track today and the balance is happening tomorrow. I think this is pretty exciting. I will certainly make the trip there to drive the track.

Half a track paved in a day? They must be running slicks on the equipment, that is quick.

Similarly, I was at Mid-O last week and they're paving many of the access roads around the track, which is great.....now they just have to do the track itself

New ownership putting in effort to improve facilities is good to see.
As with others, interested to see how it holds up and where else they take the place. The track is a fun little place to drive. I really miss $100 funday lapping there. Unfortunately it looks like funday pricing has already gone up more than 2x as well

Three Wheelin'
I almost didn't believe it when I heard. The repave rumor has been going around for years. It's great to see it get a little love. I refuse to take the formula car there. It just destroys them in short order. Last time I was there was a Chump race in '11. While fun, the track was in really bad shape, so I'll be anxious to get down to try it with a proper surface.

Having said that, it's a fun track -- glad to see they're putting some work into it.

Unless they dig the whole thing up and repave it with 16" of reinforced concrete, the track will always move with the swamp and any repave job will break up in 3 years, but won't be repaired for 7-10 years. So you get 2 years of decent track, and then wait for the next repave.
There's a Citation wheel somewhere in the woods off turn 1. If anyone finds it I know who it belongs to. (Chevy Citation, not the airplane)
