Default Minimum Age for Porsche DE Event?

Can someone tell me the minimum age for a driver to attend a Porsche DE event? Wondering if my 18 year old son could do a day with me.

Yes. 18 is the minimum. My son started tracking with me when he was 18. It's been a great bonding experience

As everyone said 18. My son started as soon as he turned 18. It is an excellent program. I have the following kudos about the program:

1) Kids this age are always testing their limits, this gives them a chance to find out what their actual skills are in a controlled environment.
2) Teaches them car control while being supervised.
3) It actually slowed him down on public roads as he got his need for speed taken care of.
4) Great bonding experience, especially if you have quicker lap times.

Do they start the newbs really slow at the PCA events? My son's a smart kid/good athlete, but he has zero experience with performance driving.

All newbs run with the green group which always includes an instructor. You are free to go however fast/slow you need to, which is expected in the green run group.

Yes they do. The program is excellent. Got my son into PCA DE as soon as he turned 18.

I instructed a 19 year old young lady this weekend. Only a little older than my daughter so I had a few things I could relate to :-) -- we had a blast!
