Good weekend. I didn't see any point in running the second sprint on slicks so I pulled in at the end of the first lap as well. Sunday weather was a perfect for that time of year. VIR is such a fun track.

Yes - this was my 2:00.370. Good observation! I lost about 5/10s in T12 in comparison to my best sector time there.

Seb, I love you and no one hustles a car more than you do, but it also doesn't look like you know to hit the early-in-the-lap apexes on your record lap!

Could be a 1:57.XXX in there, but not easily! Considering I've heard of a GT4CS at a mid 1:55.XXX, that (or even a low, low 1:58.XXX) should be possible.

It's a timing issue. Frank (and Cory and others) have no time between (or delay in) the coordination and movement of the pedals and the shifter.

Just takes practice and good examination of the data.

Congrats 987part! Impressive.

As one who was there enjoying the "DE" group - it was a treat to walk around the paddock and drool over all the beautiful race (and DE) cars. It was also fun to watch some of the races.

It was my first visit to VIR which gives an even great appreciation for your record!

Ive been struggling with my car since the beginning of the season.

Still many problems this weekend that put me out of podiums but i did some good lap time. I will take it.

Thank you.

I will upload tomorrow some nice footage of harold/frank and me running at each other like crazy. It was fantastic.

Lost both my rear shocks canisters during halfway the enduro. Managed to do 2.03 -2.05 lap times compared to 2:00 in the 1st stint . It was not a pleasant drive!!!

Stuart Fain was kind enough to let me co-drive the enduro in his GTA2 997 Cup. The car was a blast. He posted a few laps from my stint. Never had an open lap but still a ton of fun.

That's just some awesome driving in an awesome car. I think I learned more following Cory for a lap than my previous 2 years here...

For any of you wondering how much more of an engine you get out of Autometrics vs a "standard" 3.8L cup motor, here is a screen shot at terminal speed for both of us on back straight. Same min speed around Oak Tree.

That's some real power!

Power and shorter gears. look at engine rpm at your speed
