Pirelli DH questions
What amount of neg camber does the PDH like on the front and rear of a Cayman? Also is there any difference between a 275-645-18 and a 265-645-18 other than the size? The 265 is actually wider for the tread but the section is a lot wider on the 275??????

Mike,
Most folks run the 265/645-18 tire up front but I was told that it will only fit if you relocate the radiator brackets and roll the fenders. I've only ever seen one car with a 275/645-18 and it was at SUV ride height. Pirelli doesn't list the 275 in their race tire data booklet - not sure why. Previously, we all used to run the 245/645-18 but now I think I'm the only one in the country because I can't find used takeoffs anymore.
I've run max camber in my Gen I Cayman of up to 4.4 degrees on the outside front tire at Lime Rock and up to 3.9 deg on the inside at Watkins Glen. On my new Gen II car've backed that off by half a degree given the higher straight line speed and 200 lb higher weight and it seems to work well.
On the rear, I am as high as 3.1 deg on the outside and 2.6 deg on the inside.
The above is very much track dependent. Hope this helps.

thanks Frank!
i am running 275 on the front with short springs and aggressively rolled fenders! i think the 265 might work a bit better.
