I love the two bumps that have developed in the braking zone in turn 1. I was in a McLaren 650S recently and we were actually getting a little air while on the brakes approaching T1. I didn't notice the bumps nearly as much in my GT3RS.

There is one at the apex of T11 that is pissing off my cayman.
Odd that they didn't shave things like they did last year before MOTO GP.
Money trouble?

It sounds like it's changed a lot since last December. I can't recall a bump at the apex of T11 nor in the braking to T1.
Given my experiences at Harris Hill Road, BMWs do seem to be less upset by bumps than Porsches - or at least we complain less about it. Who knows.
I remember when COTA had zero bumps. Seems like a lot of this started with the very heavy rains that ended the drought a few years ago.

Yeah the one into 1 is really a pain in the **** now.
Same with 11.
Dunno why they didn't shave it again this year but money troubles have been ongoing. Plus they are spending a ton to build the kart track and RV park

Exit of 18 surprised me the last time I was there.

When i was there in march you could see groves that were fresh from shaving in the last week....it was almost a polish and when it rained that weekend the break zones leading into and ending the back staright were diabolical in the wet...you could visualyy see it in the rain and in the dry.

Why is it getting bumpier? Is there evident pavement damage?

Geology of the area combined with the eons old cycle of droughts and floods

I suppose the monsoons over the last couple of years have something to do with it. It got bad enough that the paddock of COTA flooded. Apparently digging down 10ft+ wasn't enough.

The first time I came through there at full tilt and I hit that bump, it caught me by surprise and I instinctly lifted -- WRONGO -- Woke me up real quick... I think there was a brown trail and flailing arms until about 19 or 20 ;-)
At least the next laps I was prepared and just told myself to suck it up and keep it planted...
Having many laps at Harris Hill -- I can pretty much handle anything -- as long as I'm ready for it!
