Video Etiquette
Random thought. If you are the trailing car and see someone crash in front of you and have video do you:
A. Share it with the driver (assuming they are otherwise fine)
B. Share it with your friends
C. Share it on YouTube
D. Not share it at all
edit to add: De environment, not racing, if that matters

Definitely share with the driver..
Definitely not on Youtube or anywhere public.
Friends is kind of iffy to me... I really don't want to revel in someone else's misfortune. Some want to call it "learning", but really you are just watching to feel superior, thinking, "Glad I'm not that guy"... To me that's just wrong..
Now, if the guy was a douche Id probably get of my moral high ground and have a peak... Still would not post publicly though.

Share with the affected driver, for sure. Show it to the organizers, if they ask.
AFA friends? Only with the permission of the affected driver and AFA YouTube? Give a copy to the affected driver and let them do it... I would NEVER do that, myself.

Was in this situation at Summit Point this past summer when a car rolled right in front of me.
Copy to the driver and scrutes. I would never dream of posting it.

Definitely share only with the driver. That being said I'd let others peek at it if they wanted to without sharing the data file.
Several years ago my PCA region specifically prohibited taking pics/video of wrecks and sharing said images.
Also as pointed out above, if someone is a douchebag then it's fair game to shame them.

Utter bad taste and lack of sensitivity aside, I believe it is also against PCA national policy.

Speaking from experience, I wouldn't want to find the video on YouTube or facebook.........
most are stand up guys and keep it to themselves. ...put it on YouTube privately etc.
For Summit a few took pics of what was left as it was towed back to the shop.....and posted....some took it down upon request. ..others got attitude
as for friends...that's fine, it's your video.....if it's complete carnage.....just be mindful of who....as in not the persons significant other before they have even heard from the one involved
as for organization, that should be up to the driver though I'm generally ok with showing it to chief instructor.
regardless it's never fun....but we all like to look
pics I'm ok with If they stay off the interwebs....
but common courtesy is definately talk to driver

David good seeing you this weekend and meeting your lovely family.
Also nice driving....i even had to point you by once
Great question you raised here and keeping in mind the point about calling out shabby etiquette made by Coochas Dave does bring up other questions such as :
1. what about "outing" people's non-crash videos without their consent after they share it with you privately?
2. what about exposing someone's privately shared information in a public forum such as RL or other social media?
3. what about sharing "secrets of the trade" which had been promised to keep quiet and then shared in a forum?
Der ABT has made some good points imho (except that we all like to look, because I do not like to look).
