Panoz Racing School
I am planning on attending the Panoz Racing School in January. (I told my wife that will be my X-mass present from her & the kids!!) I am trying to get a group of people together to attend to make it even more enjoyable. Its a three day coarse held at Sebring on Jan. 12-14. After completing the 3 day coarse you are eligible to apply for a SCCA license if you should desire. For those who want to stay an extra day there is a lapping day on the 15th as well. It is $2700 for all three days (lapping day is extra) but I am hoping to get enough people that we would get a corporate rate.
For more information go to there website http://www.panozracingschool.com
Let me know if you want to attend!! And if you know anyone who would be interested please pass them my info.

The insurance options are definitely worth it, as you can drive with more piece of mind. I did the Skip Barber 3 day race school a few years ago, and I believe they offer no insurance. When I smacked up one of the little cars going over the uphill at Lime Rock, they drove me back down to pit lane and I hopped into another car with no mention of the wreck. It was REALLY GREAT to learn these driving skills on cheaper equipment and street tires.

I'm really glad I bought the insurance because I put one of their cars into a wall... it was on the slowest corner but I, er, got all of my money's worth on the insurance.
A horror story of someone who didn't get it... a friend went to an open wheel oval school. One of her classmates who didn't get the insurance destroyed a car. Gets in another one and destroys that too. Fully liable for about $40k of damage. Explain that one to the wife. "Honey, I was thinking that Junior wouldn't get much out of college anyway"
