Sparco Race Suit Fitment
I'm buying a race suit to do some WRL racing. Looking at the Sparco Victory RS-4. According to their sizing chart height/weight I should be a size 54 since I'm 70" tall barefoot and 150 lbs.
However my chest and hips are only 36" and waist 33" which makes the 54 super loose in the chest and hips. Any advice on what size to order for someone with a skinny bean pole figure?

Beanpole means you can go custom or stay with the likes of sparco who make slimmer suits.
The big measurement to make sure is correct is the torso measurement. I have a long torso so I end up with suits that are overall a bit tall but don't smash the giblets when I sit down.

Sparco s are definitely slimmer. Same size sparco as my omp was tighter in shoulders and midsection. Could zip it, but hard to sit in it for very long. Remember in WRL, you are going to bc in car for 2 hrs at a time, so a little loose but comfortable when sitting is preferred.
Best bet is to run out to PST at MSR and try them on. They have a lot of Sparco suits there. Same with gloves. Best of you can try them on.

i recently bought the sparco RS7 suit in a size 56
roughly 5'9 average build, 34waist 182lbs
if fit me, but it was tight. like i need to quit drinking tight or im gonna be sorry.
because i love beer and wine and i dont trust me self, i sent it back and got the 58 and im happy
the 58 fits just fine and i have room to grow if i dont knock it off.. but if your not gonna put weight on and want a nice tight fit, pay the money and go custom.
i would try the 56 first, your gonna be in between the 54 and 56 but go 56 first.

You are borderline between a 54 and 56 since you are 6 ft tall. However they will be lose since you are thin. Like Joe said, sit down when you are trying the suit on. Do it in your street car to make sure it fits right in the torso area. If you are long in the torso, you will probably need the 56. If long in the legs, the 54 should work.
If we can be of assistance, please give us a call at your convenience. We have a huge selection of Sparco suits in stock in our warehouse.
Kind regards,

the length on the 56 vs 58 seemed the same, but i dont have long legs
i seem to have a little baggage on the length but it doesnt bother me and actually is comfortable when sitting.
the 56 was tight on me when sitting but that was due to slightly bulging beer gut.

have OMP, Alpinestars and Sparco.
Sparco is the most "american" cut.
OMP and Alpinestars are much more european. That said, OMP I had to bump up one size from Sparco. Alpinestars, I had to move up 2 or 3 as their sizing is way off.

Ordered a 56 Sparco Victory RS4 suit and it was too long. I'm actually 5'10" when I measured barefoot. It was super loose in the waist/hips too but ok in the shoulders. I'm going to swap for a 54 and that should be ok.

Besides the cut difference what other differences in the various brand suits you have? Any that you prefer over the others?

Materials have a different feel and texture, and the breathability is a big difference. Everyone claims to have the lightest and most breathable fabrics but the all feel different.
Stand 21 is the most money for a suit, but their suits seem like half the weight of the competition.

I'm not sure where you live, but the Sparco factory store in California does customer alterations for free if you buy the suit from them. If you buy the suit from someone else they charge a modest fee for the tayloring. You might want to see if there is a factory store near you.... they may offer the same service.

Swapped to a 54 and fits fine, it's a little loose in the mid section but I'm skinny. Length and general fitment is ok but not tailored fit but what can you expect for a 900 dollar off the rack suit.
