Default RS-1 Wins IMSA Continental ST Season Championship

Congratulations to Justin Bellizoni and the RS-1 team. They won the overall ST season championship this afternoon at Road Atlanta in a 987S.
Spencer Pumpelly truly appears to be Superman.

The way Spencer mowed through that field was awesome. Ryan kept him back for a bit but he couldn't do it all day. Really happy to have yet another championship with him and a first with RS1.

Congratulations to a great team! There were many CSCC teams that saw the potential of the Cayman in motorsport long before Porsche came up with the GT4. Makes me want to buy one.

I think 2018 is the last year for the 987.2 Cayman in Conti ST. We'll need to see what comes after that since the 981 doesn't seem to fit in ST.

The rumor is they are going with a "TCR" type class and GS will be GT4. The new ST will be all front wheel drive.

The current 987.2 ST Cayman has illegibility unti Dec 2018. Imsa is likely to run TCR and ST in the same class for the 2018 race season however nothing is set in stone yet.
