“Texas Showdown” PCA Club Race
944 Cup West Nationals
November 12-13, 2016

Come on down to Dallas/Fort Worth and test your mettle against some of the best drivers in the country for the inaugural 944 Cup West Coast Nationals! Enjoy a great track, and the famous Texas hospitality.
Saturday features a 944 Cup Double Points Regional Race that will decide both regional champions for the Southwest and West chapters. The sprint race on Sunday day will is the 944 Cup National Runoffs what decide the 944 Cup National Champions for each of the three 944 Cup classes, including SP1, SP2 and SP3. Open to all drivers regardless of where you raced during 2016. The West National Championship is not chapter or region specific as to drivers who can become the National Champion. if you raced in one PCA SP1,2 or 3 race during 2016, or are a former 944 Cup regional or national champ, you can compete for the West National Championship.
This event will marks the first year the 944 Cup will feature a 944Spec National Champion runoff for the SP1, the PCA equivalent to the NASA 944 Spec class with all such cars being legal to race at Nationals. With a current NASA club race license, drivers will be eligible to obtain a PCA comp license in time to race the 944 Cup Nationals.
Rookie and Provisional License Candidates who complete the PCA Club Racing School and race at this event may have their 2017 License Renewal fee waived. Please contact the PCA Club Racing National Office 847.272.7764.

The SP1 runoffs at MSR looks to be a great race with a large contingent of SP1s, not to mention the SP2 and SP3. You might even see a few new entrants to the SP1 category 😉.

944 Cup Racers who will be racing Nationals at the Motorsports Ranch next week, SP1 Class Winners for PCA Championship Point Races will receive an electronic certificate good for a set of Hawk Performance brake
pads of their choosing.
Eligibility for Class Winners requires Hawk Performance decals on their cars on either the front fenders (over the wheels) or on the rear quarter (over the wheels); driver's choice.
