I have Cobra Imola 2 GT's and like them so far, if a little on the wide side for most. I will pour some foam to fit for trackdays, and have some extra room on the street. I put them in this year so I can't comment on longevity, but they look well made. I had an SPG but the ribcage area was too tight.

I've never gotten a bad complaint from anyone who's ridden in the passenger seat either.
Brian, I doubt they were thinking about the seats at the time ...

I just looked at seats today and had the chance to sit in a wide variety of seats. I will probably put a Pro Racer on the driver's side (really liked the fit and the headguard) and a Pole Position on the passenger's side.

Thanks to all for the helpful input.

Does anybody happen to know which of the Kirkey or Cobra seats can be bottom mounted? I don't think many of the side-mount type seats will fit in a 914. The space between the center tunnel and longitudinal is very tight.

The Cobra Zuzuka with the Alcantara and memory foam is the most comfortable and best supporting seat I have ever sat in. Expensive though, but I had to have one once I sat in it. They come in a normal and wide version (they call it GT width).

I got mine from sube sports. They are custom ordered and you can have them made with your name stitched in the seat if you like that kind of thing -- I did not.

You guys talked me into it...it's Recaros.

I found a demo of last year's Pro Racer SPG which I'm going to put on the driver's side and will put in a new Pole Position on the passenger's side (in case I have a wide instructor at a DE!!).

The seats should be here in about 2 weeks...just in time to put the car up on jack stands for some modifications and winter storage.

Thanks much for the input.

Does Recaro make a wider SPG Racer seat? Mine is so narrow even my firend who is 150lbs can barely fit in it with a drivers suit on.

Recaro SPG Pole Position is wider. Mine are covered in leather.
