Racing them is not a requirement.

I had ordered a GT4CS and PMNA contacted me to upgrade the car with the full SRO package right on the production line.

And I currently don't have a plan to race it, the car was just going to be a track toy for the time being.

So it's basically what everyone was asking for last year when they launched the GT4CS with all of the series commitments.

Does your car have the 70L fuel cell?

nice score!

Only a select few get to purchase the Clubsport commitment free.
I believe Porsche has been seeking to designate the last remaining cars in inventory to different series with only a handful available to preferred customers who are not commited to a series.

that would determine if it was a car originally designated for north america or a car left over from the RoW batch.
I recall that All north american designated cars came with 70L.
The West coast series cars and IMSA cars came with A/C.

so to clarify, what is the story with the GT4 CSs purchased last/this year and running in GS CTSC? will they all have to be upgraded to MR spec to be competitive in CTSC for next year?
thanks

They will all need to make the decision to either upgrade their existing cars or sell them to move up to fresh new cars for the 2017 season.

The biggest element is the 100L carbon fuel cell with dual master cylinder brake system. It the IMSA cars do not already have them, then it is a racket to swap them. Might as well buy new car and move on IMO.

MR will be IMSA and PWC. ($37k option above regular clubsport.)

PCA 2017 will be same as 2016 except for shocks. (In the spec series)

I assume we run GTD outside of the spec series in PCA again next year unless they bump us to GTB3 which would be ok.... (even though they pull us on the straights)
