Wonder if Bernie will negotiate this deal like he negotiated a track deal in which case she is in big trouble?
Good luck getting $0.02 out of me if someone kidnapped my mother-in-law. The kidnappers would probably give her back after a few hours she is such a ucnt.
In all seriousness, I hope she is returned unharmed. That has to be some scary $hit!

From an Email thread between friends today...
He's older than his mother in law. She's 65, his daughter is 61.
His wife is 35, he's 80+
She's 5'10", he's 5' 1"
He's worth $3B+
His mother in law is worth???
>I’d tell them “you can keep her” !
>>"You know, I've got one of these wonderful ideas that women should all be dressed in white like all the other domestic appliances." Bernie Ecclestone, discussing Danica Patrick, the female driver who finished fourth in the 2005 Indianapolis 500 race. (Los Angeles Times, 6/21/05, p. A-18.)
You can’t make this stuff up!
He’s calling the Maytag repair man right now to cancel his service agreement on his Mother in Law.

I thought that this story was going to turn out to be a fake since I haven't come across anything in the mass media about it. I just watched FP2 and the announcers did in fact talk about his MIL being held for an "exorbitant sum."

Normally I would say you guys are cold blooded.
But my MIL is in town and she pissed both wifey and myself last night. So............
On the bright side Bernie's MIL is a contemporary of his eldest.

"No ransom paid" is just what they say to discourage future attempts. BS.
He probably made the kidnappers sign off any rights to a future book or movie deal. You have to cover all the bases and make sure you don't leave any money on the table.
I wouldn't mind "kidnapping" either of his daughters! Rich and pretty damn good looking.

As for kidnapping my MIL? I pity the fool who would try that. She'd talk their ears off in about 15 mins...T
