Canadian F1 Race Question
Does anyone know what you can see at the Canadian Grand Prix with General Admission tickets? Do you need something other than that to watch the race?
Thanks,

It's an easy track to walk around (infield) with multiple viewing points and all grandstand areas have large monitors that are easily visible. It's great track for spectators and a fantastic city to visit during F1 race. Don't miss the block party.

Block Party? Block Party?
Heading to Montreal on Wednesday with my wife and have no clue other than some nice restaurants and the race. Will be there though Thursday of next week as well to avoid some of the crowds.

On Sunday you will be pretty limited as to where you can stand or sit ...
Friday and Saturday is easier to get around, although there aren't too many good places to watch the
race without having to look through the banners installed on the fencing !
The East hairpin at corner 10 is a good spot and there's a huge screen ,if you can get to turn 2 (Senna corner), i believe there's seating on the grass below the grandstands but those spots fill up early.
Not sure how it's going to be this year, but as a corner worker we already received a s**t load of security directives from the organization and my guess is it will trickle down to the spectators as well ...
Have fun !

Any issues getting there with bridge construction (coming from NE) or the like? We will take the subway once we get to our hotel.
Thanks!

I have two tickets in the sold out Section 11 (at Senna Turn and Pit Out where everything happens!) with the best views at the track back up the Start/Finish straight. All three days for $600. PM me if interested. Incredible race at an incredible racetrack.

Absolutely agree here - I would think extremely hard to get a decent spot or see much with a general admission ticket. I sometimes walk by the GA areas where people congregate and there is zero space between humans (think a crowded subway car). I just don't know how that can be enjoyable. Then again, the grandstands get packed too, but much better sight lines and a designated spot.

I grew up in Montreal (best thing I ever did do in life was leave Quebec, but that's a different story for a different time). Back in the mid to late 80s my friends and I attended the races every year and every year we always did the General Admission thing-a-ma-bob. Not sure if it's still open, but there was a hill on the north side on the outside of the track at turn #6 which gave us a reasonably good view of the cars approaching the turn as well as the run down to turn #7. But you had to get there pretty early in the day to get your spot next to the fence, otherwise if you were late, you would be watching the race with a few people in front of you. Also there was no giant TV screen situated in the area to watch the race when there were no cars at this turn. So it was less than ideal. But we were also pretty young with limited money and what money we did have we spent on other things. So it was still cool. We were at many races thanks to General Admission.
