Who names their race car?
One of my track mates has this thing where he names his Porsches. Usually stripper names. You know who you are.
Is this a Porsche thing? Am I late to the party, or is he just more in touch with his female side than I thought?

No stripper names - simply black Martini and white Martini.

Been around drag race cars most of my life, many were named.
The best, IMO, was a Black '68 Camaro C/SM, 288 cu in, 11,500 rpm Small Block, that would just about put it on the rear bumper every launch, named "KONG"

Funny, I never bothered naming the 924 racecar, despite many years of racing, countless wins, podiums, and a couple of lap records. It's just "the #77"...
The other car, which has barely managed some wins, earned a name before she even hit the track... Tallulah
My wife says that's cause she's fast and loose and all the guys love her...
I say it's because when she goes, boy does she go... but most of the time she's a cast-iron bitch!!

I have to confess I named mine "Snow White" ......997 Cup and she got the name because it takes 7 dwarves to keep her running ( apologies to the guys in the shop and to "little people" and to any body else out there that that's going to flame me for a non PC thing )
