How can it not be? His nascent talent has been recognized.
Kvyat's foibles have been, too...

Personally, I think this is a little bit of a mistake. Many drivers, including Vettel and Grosjean, drove like this an needed a season to settle down. Some like Maldanado never learned.
By moving Kvyat to Torro Rosso it just increases his frustration and makes the likelihood of him doing something stupid again even higher.
They should have given him a few more races and a sports psychologist before resorting to a demotion.

Yeah, Kvyat made some mistakes, but so did Vettle as a rookie. Remember Fuji 2007? He was driving the TR and crashed into the back of second place Webber's RB, under a safety car...

This was also a blocking move to prevent Max from going to Ferrari for Kimi's seat next year.
My .02 is that there will be fireworks with Ricciardo. Ricciardo is a great racing driver and Max a young buck that wants to win at any cost. Wait for the first time he's asked to not pass or pull aside....

Yeah this seems pretty harsh. And almost unprecedented (mid season?). His issues are no different than Grosjean's a few years ago.
Wasn't Max whining like a little baby and spinning out all over the track just a few races ago in Australia? Yeah, let's promote that guy.

Here is an article from Motorsport.

Seems a bit harsh considering Kvyat finished ahead of Ricciardo last year. In fact, he overtook him a the season's mid-point and never relinquished the lead.

Will Buxton wrote a great piece on his blog about the incident, well worth a read. And this was prior to the news of the seat/team swap.
I think this was a knee-jerk reaction. If he'd have hit a back marker, this would already be forgotten.
