Super difficult question only allowing 3 cars. Do you choose on performance, driveability, looks, prestige, investment or “I just have to have that car!!” ?
I think some choices are based on prestige and not how good they are to drive. Muira case in point. Many have this as one of their all time faves, myself included, but from all reports these aren’t a whole lotta fun to drive/own. Some older Ferrari’s might be the same. E-types too.
A company in England is sort of doing a Singer transformation of the old Alfas. Think this looks like a really nice little car without the glitches of owning an original car from that era.

For a more comfortable but stunning grown up’s car it would be an Aston. Possibly one of the best looking cars of all time imho.
Lastly, like some others, I’ll select our Racecar. Largely on the basis that it’s something we’ve poured heart and soul, countless hours and even less counted $$ into…plus it’s faster than 98% of the cars here and that’s an achievement on its own for such a lowly considered base.

And then there's this entire pit garage full of fun I saw at COTA yesterday. A dozen Paganis...in one place...

1. Ferrari California Spider. Alloy body.
2. 993 GT2 clubsport
3. 2017 G wagon with trailer.
Would love to have a vintage porsche race car or latest ferrari super car but what is a guy to do.
Shelby cobra 427 full competition car would be fun too....

This is an easy decision as my self-imposed maximum car count has been three for a while. After trying various cars and having as much as five cars ready to go at any time, I've found that three is just right for my lifestyle. Any more and I feel like my car hobby demands too much of my time.
1. Cayenne GTS - street driver/longer trips/family and friends/dog hauler. Sporty and fast enough for US streets. Can use it for racecar towing if not doing arrive/drive race weekend. Really like the go-anywhere, do-anything attitude of this vehicle
2. Ferrari 355 Challenge car - mid-engine, street-legal, period race history. Actually, Ferrari P3/4 (serial #0856) could replace my 355 Ch but it is unlikely available even with unlimited funds. 355 Ch can be driven on backroads and to/from track. In a pinch, I can even use it for street errands if my Cayenne GTS is being serviced and Uber is not available
3. Porsche 910 - mid-engine, targa, street-registerable, race car. Great event car (Classic Le Man, Monterey Historics, Rennsport Reunion) while can be driven on streets occasionally and with the top off.

Can't imagine driving a 910 on the street. You have any of my cousin's parts on your car?

Burning Brakes
Quick list off the top of my mind...
Daily: Loaded Range Rover
Street Fun: Ferrari 458
Track car: 016 Swift Formula Atlantic, or maybe just keep the Formula mazda so I don't kill myself.
Rent tow vehicles as needed.
Saw a Miura at the track one day. It looked too cramped inside.
