New wing element. His body language and actions tell you that wing was very important to keep.
As far as the scooter.... have you ever seen those internet videos of Russian drivers? I'd tell the guy "I'll drive" too

A couple of other talking points from this weekend:
1)
Toto continues with his shared as team principal, Ferrari F1 press secretary, and F1 spin doctor. It's funny because Matchett and Hobbs were now among those that notice most of the rumors about Ferrari being competitive that hit the press come from Mercedes' personnel, not from Ferrari.

Wolff: Ferrari deficit likely Sochi-specific
“The track is very different with a very smooth surface, and we saw that the pace of many teams was different to the races before,” said Wolff when questioned about Mercedes’ superiority. “Williams was very strong, Red Bull weren't, and Ferrari weren't as good as expected.
“This is a circuit where you have to get it right in terms of mechanical grip and aerodynamic downforce - and engine power plays a role. I would say that the dent in the Ferrari performance is Sochi-specific. But that is only my guess...”
2)
Despite encouragement from various drivers and engineers, F1 is now hellbent on increasing aerodynamic downforce which will cut the overtaking opportunities further.

Drivers unconvinced by plans to increase downforce for 2017
""Our [Mercedes] opinion was that it’s not the right direction to go and we were hoping that they would definitely re-look into it and just make sure from a technical point of view to double check," said championship leader Nico Rosberg."
""We’ve seen big gaps between the teams in the past. I really hope that we can have a much closer field and that the regulations and the direction we’re going in cannot create those sort of gaps, that we can close up the gaps."
"Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez added: "[What] I’m not fully convinced about is obviously the increase in downforce which will naturally make overtaking more difficult or let’s say following a car more difficult.""

It's just like Govt. They do stuff that makes no sense and without consultation with the people who care about it...namely the public. The Teams / Manufacturers wouldn't want an increase in d/force either.

Currently, you can't spend more than a few laps behind another car without destroying tires.

Looks like Kvyat my end up too far back in the pack to cause more mayhem with Vettel and the other front runners. May be a whole lot worst than his measly 10 sec stop-n-go penalty for taking out Vettel and Ricciardo. Maybe he should have listened to Vettel after the previous race incident.

Ewwww that would be a real smackdown to be demoted to the junior team. Deserved! I would like to see what Max can do in the RB, even though it may not be that much better. I think he'll be going to Ferrari next year to take Kimi's spot.

Something tells me that Kvyat probably doesn't think he's done anything wrong and is being punished. Damn kids.
