Lime Rock Park Car Conteol Clinic
Saturday, October 16th, I attended a car control clinic run by Lee Carpentier (pro coach) at Lime Rock Park. There were 8 of us and we had both the use of the skid pad and the upper and lower autocross tracks to ourselves from noon to 5:00. Lee coached us at the skid pad in a Miata, while three skippy instructors worked with us at the autocross tracks. We worked on controlling and recovering from both induced oversteer and understeer on the skid pad, and ending the day trying to drift lap after lap in the wet, things you practice safely on a race track
With all our electronic nannies off, we were able to work on our improving our skills on the AX track without the LRP Armco staring us in the face. For those who have never been to the AX track at LRP, it's a mini road course with elevation changes.
Lots of bang for the buck for those who want a intense 5 hour workout

I had met Lee last season at Palmer. He helped me wth my classroom on how to drive Palmer as this was our second day on this track and many of us had never been there before. Very relaxed style and was great to work with on the skid pad. Friends of mine who have used him as a coach, highly recommend him.

Thank you guys for the positive feedback. I am currently working on getting more dates. As of now this program will only run out of Lime Rock Park but who knows what the future may hold.
