Watkins Glen May 20-22 DE Zone 1
Hi everyone, wanted to see how many peeps from here were going to the watkins glen zone 1 DE day.
Few of us will be driving down from Canada, since this is our first time, wanted to ask what are close by hotels that people usually tend to stay at that are secure.
Look forwarding to driving alongside a few of you!

Thanks guys! Looked into the harbour hotel. A bit on the higher side, espically with the exchange rate.
Anyone here stayed at the holidayinn or hampton in painted post or horse heads?

We have stayed at the Hampton in Horseheads many times. Rooms are fine and they actually comp you a decent breakfast. It's also an easy 20 minute drive to the track with some nice scenery on the way. Oh, and there's an Outback right across the road.

Budget inn and falls motel are okay as well. Maybe a half step above Seneca lodge if you are looking for something easier on the pocket book.
Also might want to check out Airbnb if there's a bunch of you.

I always stay at the Falls Motel, which is about 3 miles from the track. Nothing fancy but it's clean, relatively inexpensive, and has all the basics. However, you better check room availability because it's always sold out on big DE days.

Sal and I love the old school "charm" of the Seneca. We had a small cabin last year (recently renovated) and a bunch of our friends next door in an A frame got together each night for a beer around the campfire pit. Classic rustic bar, good food, close to the track. Like the old road houses used to be back in the day. We are booked again this year. Other friends stay at The Falls and like it as well. Just depends on your preferences.
