No experience with Hoosier wets, but recently ran with Pirelli wets at Thunderhill and was surprised how well they performed (with lots of standing water during our practice and first race). Not cheap but they held up really well after several heat cycles and still have tons of tread left.

I don't know that either is "better" per se. IMO of the two, the Pirelli will be more suited for longer races.

The Hoosier Wets are DOT for a Porsche. The Michelin or Pirelli would be a NON DOT aka a slick WET.

The NON DOT wets should be faster and better providing the car is setup for slicks.

I'm sure anything will be better than my 2011 dated Hoosier wets!!!! They were still a lot of fun to drive in the full wet conditions on Sunday at NCM!!!!
