944 Cup 2016 Support
Numerous companies provide their support to the 944 Cup in recognition of the value that the series provides to the race community. Supporters for 2016 will be offering a great list of products and prizes to be given away at the traditional year end awards ceremony to be held at the 944 Cup Nationals at Daytona and The Ranch. Fortunately the generosity of the 944 Cup supporters allows every driver racing at Nationals to leave with a prize.
The first back for 2016 is Pirelli World Challenge who will be offering up the following:
A full race season of free entries to the winner of the 944 Cup Nationals for each of the three 944 Cup classes. Pirelli World Challenge also offers a half season of free entries for second place, and one free entry for third place.
All totaled the package is valued up to $80,000 in prizes for the National Championship. More importantly, this offer provides drivers the chance to progress to the next level of competition with a head start on the financial resources needed in the pro ranks. Free entries are applicable for TC, TCA or TCB classes of the PWC series and are strictly prohibited from being transferred, sold, or converted to cash.
Also, PWC is offering a pair of hard card pit passes to any one of the PWC races in 2017. Pick from tracks like Long Beach, St. Pete's, Mid Ohio, COTA, Toronto and more. Added to this list of prizes is a pair of PWC jackets.
As additional supporters are added to the list for 2016, the companies and prizes will be posted here.

High Strung 44
High Strung 44 is back for 2016 as a sponsor for the series . They will be offering two 35% off discount certificates for a pair of High Strung 44 control arms for a year end awards.

Some background on the owner of High Strung 44, Andy Pohlman.
Andy teaches Welding, Fabrication and a High Performance Steering and Suspension class at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Has been
teaching there for 18 years. He is also a coach on the Schools Race Team. Andy has been to Lincolns Electrics Motorsports Welding schools and has been invited to be with Lincoln at the Indy 500 in the welding garage, requiring a high degree of expertise and quality as all parts he welded were required to go though Indy car inspection process to make sure parts where safe to go back on the cars and out to the track. Andy has an open invite to go back to work the Indy 500 as part of the Lincoln welding effort
Andy is a race guy. Has been involved with circle track racing since 1989, ran and built stock cars and modifieds forabout ten years. He has built some drag cars and some SCCA road race cars. Also has some experience with
sprint cars and midgets. He has also been a crew chief for several race teams over the years.Tons of experience setting up race cars
of all kinds.

Bob Woodman Tires has announced a contingency program for the 2016 PCA Club Racing season. This contingency will apply to racers in classes eligible to run Hoosier, Toyo, and Yokohama tires, including all three 944 Cup classes.
10 or more cars starting in class: 1st place = 20% off one set of tires 2nd place = 10% off one set of tires 3rd place = 5% off one set of tires
6 - 9 cars starting in class: 1st place = 10% off one set of tires 2nd place = 5% off one set of tires
3 - 5 cars starting in class: 1st place = 5% off one set of tires
To be eligible, the car must compete on tires purchased from Bob Woodman Tires, Car must have at least 2 Bob Woodman Tires decals displayed. No other tire supplier logos may be displayed on the car. Decals can be obtained from scrutineers or at the Bob Woodman Tires trailer.
The contingencies will be paid for the races in a PCA event that are designated as the PCA Championship Points races, not necessarily 944 Cup points races.
