Default tractor battery

Did you guys know that a lead acid sears gold diehard tractor battery has about 300 cca and is $39? A race battery sealed gel type is $80-125 with the same cca'a. Both weigh nearly the same and of course weightless compared to typical street car 40 lb batteries. Is anyone using a tractor battery to start their race cars? Is the Tractor battery enough juice to start a modern EFI 8 cylinder less than 10:1 compression ratio car? I do not know how to determine the starting load requirements other than go out and buy a tractor battery and try it.

TIA

Got one in mine. I toss it at the end of the year and get a new one in the Spring.
