HSR Sebring Historics
Hey guys,
I am planning on heading down to Sebring in a few weeks to attend the Sebring Historics. I did a search on the forum and saw that a bunch of guys/cup cars attended, do you guys have any feedback? Who's planning on going this year? I spoke with some guys local to me that have gone before and they really liked the event and the amount of track time. Does anyone know when a schedule will be released? I am trying to plan flights/hotels and that info would be helpful. I am going to bring my '09 Cup (prepped to SCCA GT2 specs) and my dad will be bringing his R8 LMS. Hope to have some fun out there.

It's a great event. Lots of track time, especially with the enduro, and similar cars. Go to hsrrace.com for schedule info, but the crew has their hands full prepping for Daytona next week. If it's not up, check back later. Have fun!

GTA2 is a PCA Club Racing class, a bit less restrictive than SCCA GT2. This is an HSR event. They'll find a place for you and your Dad!

I'd recommend LaQuinta which is a couple of miles from the track. If you stay at the track side hotel ask for one of the rooms that were redone a couple of years ago.

Just got back from Sebring and had a great time. Enjoyed racing with all of the Cups out there and some of the other cars on track. Tried to keep up with Juan, but that lasted about a lap. Had a good scrap with 3 other cars on Sunday morning, which was easily the highlight of the weekend. Four cars going nose to tail for 5 or so laps. Car grouping/classing was a little funky but gave me an opportunity to try and run down some of the newer Cup cars.

Which car is yours? It was fun!
Hold on, are you "J K"? also with the Audi?

Yep, that's me. I was the '09 blue/white Fall-Line prepped Cup. And yes, my dad was driving the Audi most of the weekend and we ran it for some of the enduro. Great meeting you and you were flying out there in your car. I had a good time watching you and LP battle in Sunday morning's race. Hope to see you out on track again soon.

Battling with LP was awesome. The cars are so different (yours, mine and Steven/LP's) the newer ones are better at certain things but there are drawbacks.
Look forward to sharing the track with you in the future.
Happy Holidays! Juan
