I'm sure that something along those lines has occurred to my wife.

Our next boat will undoubtedly be the pontoon that my wife wants but that doesn't mean I'll quit looking.

Now that I have an alignment computer, tire machines, mill, lathe, waste oil tanks, band saw, sander, welders, plasma cutter, sand blaster, parts washer, press, etc, it's down to a 3-4 car garage.
I went bigger and I'm still feeling crunched for space for all those things. The compressor and all the mechanicals will go in the basement and everything possible will get hung, put in cabinets or have wheels. Some, like welders could be hung from the beam and I'm thinking about some shelves at the ends of the beam that could hold those spare SPB engines and trannys. I'll stick with smart strings and scales for now. I should have room for drill press and other machine tools in the small room but I know it's going to get tight soon. I haven't even figured out where the fridge goes yes.

Have you, or anybody got a recommendation for a tire machine / balancer that works well with a small footprint?

I had one in the house design for a while until Julie wanted more closed space. If my knees give out I'll just have to hoist myself up.

Very little progress in the last nine months My builder got crunched over the winter and then the lock down put them way behind. I met with them today and they assure me that they will be back to finish in the next few weeks. It just needs drywall, paint and the floors polished and then I can get the lift, tool boxes and cabinets in. I haven't even pulled the boat out of storage yet.

Awesome and gorgeous place!!! Garage Journal can be a gigantic time sink

About to start phase 1 of my shop build which is remove the cedar trees from the property. Have a "cedar eater" coming out to mow them down - 2.7 acres worth.
