I think that is Hockenheim, probably during Touristenfahrt, no helmet requirement (same as Nuerburgring). Germans believe in the right to self-damage

Perhaps the three middle fingers extended close together... a chance for the driver ahead to read between the lines?????

Interesting point. Perhaps a topic for the Ask The Coach thread + my ClubRegistration column?

In PCA stock classes, the gesture has something to do with having to have a passenger seat I think.

A good topic indeed. We've all seen it, and likely we'd hear of some interesting encounters.

Since Scott initially mentioned it, maybe he should do the initial post...

Hah.. here's one from Long Beach this year. Someone floored it and drove into the side of me under FCY during the pile up in the hairpin. I do seem to use more hand gestures while driving the 458...

I took it from this clip:

Of course.. my tap on Lux rite before the cluster that was the hairpin probably caused him to give me a gesture or 2!

I really have no idea how to make them get it in gear. When I raced on dirt tracks, you could just give them a little bump which would usually get their head back in the race but that's frowned upon in PCA. I see two types of dawdlers in PCA races. Those hanging back a little on starts and restarts trying to get an advantage on the start which is bad because it puts everyone behind them at a disadvantage and those who just seem to forget that there is still a race going on once a double yellow comes out. Yes, you need to drive with a little more caution, especially if you don't know where the incident is. Sometimes there can be multiple incidents so you really never know but it's your chance, and the chance for everyone behind you to close up the gaps!
