Default Fuel cells ??

Who runs with replacement fuel cell and which one do you use?
Any one tried ATL spare tire fuel cell that fits in the spare tire area.
Holds 12 gals.

I have the ATL spare tire cell. Mine is larger than 12 gal. That would be a royal pain in an enduro. I think mine is just under 18 gallons. I can run an hour and a half enduro w/o needing fuel.

I have a 10 gallon ATL in my 944 ... sure wish it was larger !
You really have to monitor your fuel level as it's pretty easy to run low ...

I would go with what Randy uses !

Cheers

Paradisenb - You have an 18 gal Spare tie fuel cell - is it mounted in the front area. I have not seen the 18 gal offered- as the 2 Spare Tire Fuel Cells listed are 8 and 12 gals.

What did you have to do to get the cell functional - any issues ??

JF -
Yes is for my 964 - Doing DE's now - but looking. Want to see what balance I can change moving fuel farther forward and lower, also move oil tank to front. 12 gals will get me through DE's as sessions are short and I can refuel - but 18 gal would be nice-

I don't know of any options with that capacity except the Fuel Safe that follows the shape of the stock tank and will run you about $3k, unless you get one custom made which equals $$$$. Had I kept my RS America race car I was planning on adding the factory option 92 liter tank from the 993, this is still available from Porsche, is a direct bolt in for the 964 and runs about $1200.

Mine is listed as 65 liters/17 gallons. I completely drained it and added one gallon at a time and using a wooden dowel, I created a stick with markings at each gallon and large marks at 5 gal intervals. Filled to the top of the spout is 20 gallon less 16 ozs.
Maybe they are bigger for a 911SC.
